ACHIEVEMENTS
(i) Library
Library was established in 1969 at 2nd floor of Academy’s building. Material on Ghalib and his age has been procured and kept in this library .It has a collection of ten thousands books, mostly related to Ghalib and his age and articles on Ghalib, published in newspaper and periodicals consisting of over two hundred files. This library gets large number of newspapers and magazines from all over the country.

(ii) Museum
Ghalib Museum was set up in the premises of Ghalib Academy. This museum presents glimpses of Ghalib’s time. Pictures of Ghalib residences are the main attraction of the Museum. It depicts the Poet's favorite foods and attire Statues of Ghalib and that of his love fascinate the viewer's. The coins, seals, postal stamps and specimen of handwriting housed in this Museum, guide those researching on Ghalib. Painting of renowned painters M.F Hussain, Satiate Jugular, Anise Farooqui and others on Ghalib's verses are worth seeing .The rock pieces of late Brijender Sayal are unique and hundreds of people come from India and abroad daily to see them. This style is his own innovation started by him some forty years ago. Mr. Sayal was a retired army officer and stayed in Agra.

(iii) Auditorium
Ghalib Academy is having an auditorium consisting of 200 seats. This auditorium is the centre of Delhi’s literary, scholarly and cultural activities, housing every now and then seminars, symposia and mushairas. Distinguished scholars and renowned personalities visits the Academy and speak on Ghalib.

(iv) Publications
The Academy has published over two dozen books on Ghalib and his contemporaries, of which Ghalib Aur A hung -e- Ghalib. Ghalib aur Fan-e- Tanqeed , Ghalib Aur Zaka Momin Shakhsiat Aur fun, Talmihat-e- Ghalib greatly appreciated . The Academy has brought out gorgeous editions of Dewan- e -Ghalib on art paper. This three colors edition became very popular.

The Academy commemorates birth and death anniversary of Mirza Ghalib every year. It also organizes Ghalib Memorial Lectures to remember the great poet. Dr.Yausuf Husain Khan, Prof. Khwaja Ahmad Farooqui, Prof Ale Ahmad Suroor and Prof Masood Husain khan, Prof. Gopi Chand Narang, Prof. Shamsur Rahman Faruqi, Prof. S.R. Kidwai, Prof. Shamim Hanfi, Prof. Abdul Haq, Prof. Shakeelur Rehman, Prof. Sadiq, Mr. Vishnu Khare had delivered lectures various topics related to Ghalib and his age. Renowned artists present Kalam-e-Ghalib at these occasions. The Academy organizes national seminars on Ghalib. In these seminar eminent scholars of Urdu world participate and present their papers on various topics related to Ghalib and different aspects of his life and age The Academy organizes literary meets in every second Saturday of each month. Eminent writers and young writers participate.
(vi) Training Centres
One of the important aims of this institution is to promote Ghalib’s language and give it an employment orientation. For this purpose the Ghalib Academy is running the following training Centres
(a) Calligraphy Training Centre
(b) Decorative Calligraphy Training Centre
(c) Urdu Type and Shorthand Training Centre
These Centres established with the collaboration of National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language erstwhile Bureau for Promotion of Urdu, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 1973 to promote Urdu language and traditional script and provide employment for Urdu knowing persons. Most of the students who got training from these Centres have got employment in Government sector, Semi Government sector, newspapers and private sector. Some trainees have gone abroad after getting training.
(d) Computerised Calligraphy Training Centre
In 1999, Union Minister for Human Resource Development Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi inaugurated first Computerized Calligraphy Training Centre established by National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, M/o Human Resource & Development, Government of India at Ghalib Academy. One year diploma in Computer Applications & Multilingual DTP is being run. 60 students got admission in this Centre every year. This is a job oriented course. So far 250 students have completed this course and became medium level IT professionals and employed in different sectors. Contents of this course are

2 Module II : Business Systems
3 Module III : Web Application Development
4 Module IV: Multilingual DTP and Urdu Stenography
5 Module V: Project Work
